Frequently Asked Questions

  • Can I use this for other activities besides running?

Yes, absolutely! Noor De Sol’s fuel is truly designed for any journey. The natural carbohydrates and electrolytes are strong fuel for any activity, such as running, cycling, hiking, skiing, swimming, and climbing!

What do your gels taste like? I have never had a date before or rose water.

Our performance gels are sweet from the date base and refreshingly balanced with the key fruit in the flavor. For our Ruh De Rosa, the rose water provides a floral undertone that is smooth on the tongue and the gut. We pride ourselves on our gels tasting better than any in the market.

What is the texture of the gels?

The gels contain a fresh, fruit-based formula, which results in a smooth and easy to swallow formula. They go down easy, similar to a smoothie or puree.

    Are the gels allergen friendly?

Yes, our gels are naturally top 9 allergen free! Our fuel contains NO milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, soybeans, or sesame. Our kitchen is a dedicated gluten free AND nut free kitchen, so we are safe fuel for those with Celiac disease.

  • Why does Noor De Sol use dates as the base?

Dates naturally deliver a 1:1 glucose to fructose ratio for faster carb intake, plus a good source of electrolytes such as magnesium and potassium. Also, dates have been used since ancient times as a source of energy. They’re a Sunnah superfood!

Will there be a caffeine version?

Yes! While our current four signature flavors do not have any caffeine in their formula, we plan to introduce a caffeine flavor in the future.

What does “AIP friendly” mean on the packaging?

AIP stands for “Autoimmune Protocol” and is a common diet followed by people who have autoimmune disorders or gastrointestinal diseases. An AIP friendly diet is designed to decrease inflammation and support gut health, by eating easily digestible, whole, minimally processed foods.

Do the gels need to be refrigerated?

Yes. While our endurance gels are made with natural ingredients and low pH for freshness, they are considered perishable unless specified otherwise. Please refrigerate your gels immediately upon delivery to maintain peak taste, texture, and safety. The gels last up to 3 months refrigerated.

    Are the gels considered low-fodmap?

The gels are not considered low-fodmap. Monash University considers around 20g of Medjool dates to be low fodmap, which is the size of one date. However, each of our pouches contains 2-3 dates, which is too large of a serving size to be considered low-fodmap.

  • How much does shipping cost?

We offer a flat rate of $6.00 for 2-day shipping on all orders nationally. For orders over $65, shipping is free!

How long does it take to receive my order?

We batch fresh gels every Monday in our dedicated gluten-free kitchen. If you place your order before the upcoming Monday, your gels will be made and mailed the following Tuesday (with 2-day shipping).

What if I am in Nashville? Do you offer local pickup?

Absolutely! We have a local pickup option offered in Nashville, TN. If you make your purchase before Monday, then you can pick-up your order in a location in Nashville on Wednesday.
